# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The guava brings this natural sweetness that means you're not drowning in simple syrup like so many margaritas.
  • It's ridiculously simple to make but tastes like you spent way more effort than you actually did.
  • One batch becomes the drink everyone asks you to make at every gathering after.
02 -
  • Guava nectar varies wildly in sweetness depending on the brand, so taste as you go and adjust your agave accordingly instead of following the recipe blindly.
  • Fresh lime juice makes an absolutely massive difference here, the kind of difference that separates this from tasting like cough syrup.
03 -
  • Pre-chill your glasses in the freezer for at least 5 minutes if possible, because there's nothing worse than a margarita that starts warming up before you finish the first sip.
  • Keep your guava nectar in the fridge and use it within a day of opening because the flavor fades faster than you'd expect, turning this from bright and alive into muted and forgettable.
