05 - 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
06 - 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

→ Secret Sauce

07 - 1/3 cup mayonnaise
08 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
09 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
10 - 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
11 - 1 teaspoon white vinegar
12 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
13 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
14 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Additional

15 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for toasting buns)
16 - Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
17 - Cooking oil for griddle or skillet

# How to Cook:

01 - Whisk mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, garlic powder and paprika in a small bowl; season with salt and pepper, cover and chill until assembly.
02 - Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions (about 2 ounces each) and very gently form loose balls without compacting the meat.
03 - Brush cut sides of the brioche buns with melted butter and toast cut-side down on a skillet or grill over medium heat until golden; set aside.
04 - Preheat a griddle or large cast-iron skillet over high heat until very hot; lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
05 - Place 2 to 4 beef balls on the hot surface and immediately press each firmly with a spatula or press to about 1/4 inch thickness; season with kosher salt and black pepper and cook 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until edges are deeply browned and juices appear on top.
06 - Flip each patty, place a slice of cheese on top, and cook another minute until cheese melts and patties are cooked through.
07 - Spread secret sauce on both bun halves, layer bottom buns with shredded lettuce, place the cheeseburger patty, add pickle chips and sliced onion, then cap with the top buns.
08 - Arrange sliders on a platter and serve immediately alongside preferred BBQ sides.

  • The secret sauce is the sort of tangy, creamy magic that will have everyone sneaking seconds (and thirds).
  • Each slider is perfectly sized for backyard munching—no utensils or fancy plates required.
02 -
  • Smash the burgers just once right after they hit the hot pan—pressing them later squeezes out all the juice.
  • Chilling the secret sauce for even 10 minutes lets the flavors come alive so don’t skip it.
03 -
  • If your first batch sticks, add a touch more oil or heat your pan an extra minute—it makes all the difference.
  • For the ultimate crust, don’t move the patties during the first minute on the griddle.
